Today I was invited over to Dr. L’s house to propose TentLife ‘09 to him and his wife. After telling them a little about myself, I went right into the ask,

Sam: Dr. L, what am a proposing is this… I would like to live in a tent on your property for 6 months starting on June 1st. Would that be something you would be interested in letting me do?

Dr. L: [long uncomfortable pause] Well…. the only thing I am wondering is where you would park your truck.

And so it begins… we spent the next hour walking around the property, scoping out possible “basecamps” and meandering through the many horse trails they have around their beautiful property in the middle of Oklahoma City.
